Opening Night of the 28th Annual Festival will be held at the Institute of Contemporary Art!

We are pleased to announce the return of the Boston LGBT Film Festival to the Institute of Contemporary Art after almost twenty years apart.The ICA will be hosting the opening night screening of the 28th annual film festival on May 3rd of 2012.

PARIAH Sneak Preview with Director Dee Rees and Star Adepero Oduye

Hello everyone! We are pleased to be presenting the sneak preview of the smash Sundance hit PARIAH. The screening will be Sunday, November 20th.

Petition to Boycott the Boston LGBT Film Festival: Our Response.

It has recently come to our attention that a petition has been circulated requesting a boycott of the Boston LGBT Film Festival’s presentation of Assi Azar’s film Mom & Dad: I Have Something to Tell You.

 

Submissions Are Open!

Well, the 2012 Festival planning has begun. We are officially open for submissions! We strongly encourage filmmakers to submit through Without A Box! The link to our page is to your right. There is no charge for submissions sent in before December 1st, 2011.

You can also submit by downloading the form and mailing it along with your film. We are looking forward to checking out your films! Please send them along! Good luck and maybe we'll see you at the festival? Dates are May 3rd to the 13th.

Two Kids One Hall at the Wilbur Theatre!

We are happy to announce that the Boston LGBT Film Festival is co-presenting the Boston appearance of the new tour by TWO of the Kids in the Hall. Scott Thompson and Kevin McDonald will be appearing at the Wilbur Theatre on Saturday, October 8th at 7pm. Go here for tickets!
