Volunteer

The Boston LGBT Film Festival is a group effort! Believe us, there is no way to put this thing together by ourselves. We need your help! Do you like organizing? Do you like telling people about Boston and helping them get around? Do you want to meet and hang out with filmmakers and film people and talk about queer film? Do you want to be a part of this film festival? Then we want to talk to you! There are numerous roles to fill here at the festival. While we can’t pay you we can guarantee that you’ll be part of the largest LGBT Media Event in New England and you’ll get to see films and go to parties and, perhaps the best reason of all, you’ll be helping it all come together! Some of the areas we need help in are marketing, programming, event management, and hospitality.

We're looking for volunteers to help out in the following areas:

  • Programming (screening committees)
  • Promotion
  • Event Management

Community Partnerships

The Boston LGBT Film Festival relies on the community for its success. Partnering with local organizations enables us to connect with our audience as well as support and promote those organizations who are integral to our community. In 2010 we partnered with over 30 local orgs with great success. If you are interested in being a part of the festival either as a program supporter or to co-present please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and we can go over the options available. We ask that you submit a letter of interest (via email) no later then February 15th so that we can have the time to find the appropriate film or event for your involvement.

Donate and Support!

The Boston LGBT Film Festival is in the process of obtaining 501c3 status. We hope to have this completed early in 2011. If you are interested in supporting a program, a filmmaker, or just donating to the festival please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are looking for both personal and corporate sponsorships. Putting the festival on is not free (and it isn’t cheap!) any help you can provide would be most appreciated. There are several ways to support us. Send us an email and we’ll get a media packet to you right away!
